Embark on a breathtaking 5-day adventure along the iconic Inca Trail, one of the world's most famous treks. This awe-inspiring journey will take you through ancient Inca ruins, lush cloud forests and stunning mountain landscapes, culminating at the legendary Machu Picchu. The trek offers a unique opportunity to connect with the past while surrounded by the natural beauty of the Peruvian Andes.

  • Start the day by heading towards Ollantaytambo to the beginning of the trail where the adventure awaits. After trekking for about three hours, you will arrive at the terraced Llactapata ruins. After walking through a lush valley arrive at the evening campsite of Huayllabamba.

  • Today is the most challenging portion of the trail, as you climb three hours to Warmiwañusca, at 13,780 feet. From the top you'll be able to take in breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and enjoy a tremendous sense of accomplishment.

  • After ascending to the Runkurakay pass at 13,123 feet, you will receive a guided tour of the fascinating ruins at Runkurakay and Sayacmarca. Lunch will be served at Phuyupatamarca, another important archaeological site where the camp will be set.

  • We will start early in the morning going down the trail hiking for 3 hours until reaching Wiñay Wayna at 8,856 feet. The path goes down to Wiñay Wayna ruins, heading towards IntiPunku at 9042 feet, the Gate of the Sun, our last pass. From this spot, Machu Picchu looks dreamlike. You will have your first brief introduction to the citadel in the late afternoon, as you head down towards your hotel in Aguas Calientes town, to spend a relaxing night.

  • Today you will uncover the secrets of Machu Picchu during a guided tour of the Incan citadel.

    You'll visit the most important parts of the ruins to learn how and why they were constructed. Then you'll depart from Machu Picchu town, and take a train ride to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival at the train station you will be met and transferred to your Cuzco hotel.

  • At Machu Picchu you have the option* to hike to the top of Huayna Picchu for a bird's eye view of the ruins and the valley below.

    The steep climb takes about an hour and a half.
