Beyond Certification:
Why we became a B Corp
Becoming a B Corp is often seen as a starting point. For us, it isn’t. So this certification is a way of putting structure around something that has shaped how we’ve operated from the beginning.
Working across Peru and Chile means operating within complex, interconnected systems. Decisions are never isolated. They are shaped by geography, by relationships, and by the realities on the ground;often involving trade-offs that don’t have perfect solutions.
Over time, certain principles became non-negotiable:
Who we choose to work with matters.
How value is distributed across each journey matters.
How we operate in places under pressure matters.
And how stories of those places are told matters as well.
But principles alone are fragile. As operations grow, complexity increases. More people, more territories, more moving parts. Without structure, even strong intentions start to drift. This is where B Corp becomes relevant. It provides a governance framework that allows us to:
Measure our actions
Track progress over time
Align decision-making across teams and territories
Be externally verified
It doesn’t define our values, but helps us hold them in place. Because certification, on its own, is static.
Accountability is what makes it meaningful over time.
